This statement is something often argued, is Shakespeare just some boring, dead english writer that is no longer important in the 21st Century?

Gnomeo & Juliet (2011)
Is a more funny, child-like version of romeo and juliet. Mrs Montague and Mr Capulet two older neighbours who don’t get along well. Their garden gnomes come to life when they are not around,the Montague garden and Capulet garden don’t get along either. Gnomeo and Juliet meet and fall in-love,like the play,and have to deal with their families differences. In the end there is a twist,(spoiler) Romeo lives.

Tom Hiddleston often talks about his love for Shakespeare and how Shakespeare inspired him to act.

After 5-6 Centuries Shakespearean techniques and language are still used in this day and age.Shouldn’t we know where the things we say originate? People are still appreciating and being inspired by Shakespeare to this day. As long as there are people talking about Shakespeare and his works,the longer he is relevant.
